The University of Washington offers students a multitude of resources for everything from getting around town, to financial aid, to creating community on campus.
University Resources
- Start with the Student Guide for an overview of what your experience at the University of Washington will be like. It includes information about admissions and financial aid as well as student life on campus and links to other resources.
- For an easy way to find specific buildings on campus or explore before visiting, use the Campus Maps. If you’re planning your first visit be sure to check out Visitor Information and Transportation Services.
- The University of Washington Career & Internship Center is where you’ll find help with resumes, career coaching, and networking events. They also have more specific Career Resources for Graduate Students.
- For help with assignments and research projects visit the Writing and Research Help Center at Odegaard Library.
- We want to make sure all students have their basic needs met. Visit Housing and Food Services and Husky Health and Well-Being for information on finding support when you need it.
- There are always activities happening on campus. Join in the fun through UW Recreation or our Event Calendar.
Technology Resources
The University of Washington Communication Department offers our students a variety of technology resources.
If you need to edit, lay out a graphic design, or do statistical work, head to one of the PC and Mac labs to use our state-of the-art software.
A huge selection of cutting-edge technology is at your fingertips via our equipment checkout system. You can rent anything from the latest mirrorless camera to VR equipment to lighting kits from the jam-packed coffers of CMU 318A.
The Communication Department also has a state-of-the-art video recording suite in CMU 222C including lighting, green screen, live-mixing equipment and more. There’s also an isolated audio booth to get a clean, voiceover-quality sound from any recording equipment.

You can see all of the Registered Student Organizations and centers on campus like the Q Center (LGBTQ+ center), UW Women’s Center, wǝɫǝbʔaltxʷ – Intellectual House, D Center (Disability and d/Deaf Cultural center), Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity (OMAD), and Graduate Student Equity & Excellence (GSEE) on the HUB.
