Shelby Wilson is a consultant specializing in global health/nutrition, strategic partnerships and organizational development. She is a skilled relationship manager with an in-depth understanding of the global health architecture and has advised leadership of philanthropic, multilateral and non-profit organizations, academic institutions and governments on engagement opportunities. She currently supports the World Bank in optimizing health financing for nutrition and is an adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of the Pacific. As a program officer at the Gates Foundation from 2012-20, Shelby shaped and managed a diverse portfolio of grants to improve women’s and children’s health and nutrition. Prior to joining the foundation, Shelby coordinated zinc supplementation trials in West Africa and was a dietitian at Children’s Hospital Boston. She has a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
