Sejal Parikh’s work in Communications reflects both her legal background and dedication to policy making and advocacy issues. Currently, she serves as the Chief of Staff to Seattle Councilmember Teresa Mosqueda. As Chief of Staff, she has driven office policies on labor, economic development, gender equity, education, governance, and intergovernmental relations. Previous to this role, Parikh was the Executive Director for Working Washington, where she worked on groundbreaking campaigns, including the historic minimum wage increase in Washington state. Before joining Working Washington, Parikh developed policy that expanded health care access for homecare workers in Montana and provided volunteer legislative support for a national cancer advocacy group.
Parikh earned both a J.D. and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. She went to law school to teach and is excited to share her on-the-ground experience and expertise in policy development and coalition building.
