Brenda Tausch Lapora is an attorney and educator committed to partnering with communities most impacted by structural inequality to further social and racial justice. With this end in mind, Brenda’s Comm Lead course focuses on serving as a communication leader and navigating legal and ethical dilemmas facing organizations. 

Brenda is Of Counsel at Apex Law Group. Brenda’s practice centers on working with community-based organizations and nonprofits. Brenda transitioned to private practice after many years of working for nonprofits, most recently as Director of Legal Services at Communities Rise. Brenda has also served as a board member for six nonprofits. 

Brenda earned a J.D. from the University of Washington (UW) School of Law, and a B.A. in cultural anthropology from the UW. Brenda received a Fulbright grant to Brazil and was a 2017 JustLead Leadership Academy Fellow.
