Joni Vanderburg spent 25 years in the tech industry, where she carved her niche in product writing and design leadership. Her career included building Design teams at industry giants such as Airbnb, Meta, and Expedia, as well as several mid-sized start-ups.

Joni helped develop the original UX Content Strategy course for the Communication Leadership program and is excited to be back teaching again offering practical, hands-on instruction that bridges design theory with real-world application.

She recently completed a fellowship with Climatebase.org and is passionate about helping people transition from traditional tech to the burgeoning field of climate tech, aligning her expertise with the biggest challenges of our time.

Outside of work, Joni enjoys garden design, spending winters in Palm Springs, and dreaming about owning an off-the-grid farm.
